Smarte Pay only rents brand new products except under special, pre-approved circumstances (usually at a client’s request). All Descriptions, Terms, Conditions and Rates are for new products only

Yes, generally speaking a deposit is required before we will ship your goods. The deposit amount is listed in the application

When calling you will be dealing personally with the franchise owner of your local SmartePay Rentals outlet. This give you the peace of mind that the person on the other end of the phone is more than qualified to handle your needs and dedicated to providing the best possible service to their customers.

Smarte Pay undertakes mandatory credit history checks to ensure the best possible outcome for both parties.

Our Income and Affordability Assessment gives you the control to determine your comfortable level of commitment. While we do perform credit history checks, what matters the most to us is our personal credit relationship and overtime we allow you to establish your own credit history with Smarte Pay Rentals.

We are equipped to receive payment through direct debit, band Periodical Payment Authorities (PPA), cash, or government benefits.

We understand that life can be unpredictable and difficult at times so we have several arrangements that can be put in place to help you through a tough period, all just a phone call away.

Smarte Pay provides a streamlined application process with a standard completion time of 30 to 45mins, with approval generally given the same day.

 

For the application process, all you will need is

  • Proof of income
  • Personal identification
  • Names of 5 referees

In most cases, delivery can be the same day or next day. As long as you are approved, and have your paperwork, we are set to go!

Provided there has been no misuse or intentional damage, Smarte Pay covers all service/repair warranty claims at no extra cost to you

The Agreed Rental Period is an amount of time selected by you to rent a product at a given rate. Once this period has elapsed, you have the option to continue renting, to return the product or may opt to purchase (buyout) this product from us. Additionally, you can opt to buyout at any time throughout the period.

No, each rental is a hire agreement and there is no guarantee of sale at the end of the agreement, nor is there any buyout price determined prior to entering into the agreement. Under his agreement you may return the goods without penalty or ask for a buyout price at any time, which you may choose to pay at your discretion.

Yes, you may ask for a buyout price at any time. The price provided will reflect the value of the product to SmartePay.

We encourage all adult members of the general public to apply, including Government benefits recipients, Veterans’ Affairs recipients, and businesses including Not-for-Profit Organizations.

Yes, anyone seeking to rent from us must be over 18 years of age to be considered.

If you operate a business with a positive cash-flow, supporting regular operational expenses that are normally tax deductible, then you can apply. We also encourage Not-for-Profit Organizations, representatives of the Health & Medical sector, as well as community, sporting and church groups to apply.

Yes, in most cases, but it is highly recommended you consult your accountant or tax advisor first to make sure.

Yes, all your personal details we collect are protected and kept private in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.

Delivery of your rental goods is provided FREE to a distance of up to 40 kms from your local outlet. Further than that, a small charge may apply.

Before You Begin

Before you get started you will need to make sure you have a few things ready to upload.
You will need:
Photo ID with your current address
You will be able to submit Three months Bank Statements, Centrelink Statement (if you a Centrelink payment) and your Medicare details at the end of the application electronically

Rental Application & Agreement

This is the Rental Agreement Schedule referred to in the Smart Pay Terms and Conditions as the Rental Agreement. The Terms and Conditions of the Rental Agreement and this Schedule form the Agreement between us. This Schedule contains important information including financial information about your Rental Agreement.

What's next

You're almost there, once you submit your application, you will be directed to the bank statement page where you can submit your bank statement, Centrelink statement (if you receive benefits) and Medicare details electronically. Your application CANNOT proceed without these.
Once you have submitted your application, we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible. Once approved, you will be sent a deposit payment and direct debit authority and once we have received these, your items will be shipped.
